ISE 2015 – Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Centre

Why would anyone want to leave Thailand bound for Amsterdam in mid-February?

ISE- the industries fastest growing trade show takes place every February at Amsterdam’s RAI center… spread over 3 days (set to expand to 4 in 2016) and 59,350 attendees made this years event the largest AV show in Europe ever!

Fuzion’s Varuit Rattapong and myself drew the short straws to don our thermals and get our full “nerd on” in the Dam…

Primary goal meeting our existing brands… The guys at Genelec never fail to impress showcasing a “3D sound system” utilizing the new 8351 series as the front and surrounds and not 1 but 7 7050 subs doing what they best (upsetting the neighbors)… genuine 3D content came courtesy of >>>>>>>>

symetrixNext up was a brief visit to Mark at the Symetrix stand… a quick look at the new ARC3 remotes that can now output any language from your computer over three lines of scrolling LED display – very handy for us here in The Kingdom of Thailand.

Barrix gave us a quick demo of their latest firmware…

A quick sandwich and of to what I considered the highlight of the show, our dear friend at Rane Mr. Dean Standing (after months of nagging) lugged a demo unit of the new Rane MP2015 all the way from the Seattle offices so I could get my grubby mits on it… a thing of sheer elegance and class… The king of DJ mixers inspired by Richard Long and steeped in audio history… I was a happy camper!

Nexo were showing off the popular M6 series… small footprint with a huge sound stage and crystal clear vocals another Nexo win.

Aimline next very impressed with their steerable beam array… 3 local points when using 2 columns… perfect for our university projects. The JTS stand highlighted the new UF20 series with cascading power and antenna functionality along with new on mic display showing all critical info and the icing on the cake being interchangeable capsules from other brands.

After we wrapped up our primary goal… on to the fun part… scoping out new tech blagging free gifts and checking possible accessories to complement our existing portfolio…

All in all an excellent trip… looking forward to next year…
